Ok, i just put on a brand new coil pack and a brand new power pack. I've regained some spark, the lower cylinder is firing good n strong, however i still dont have any spark on the top cylinder. connections look good throughout. what should i be looking at?

I would first try swapping the wires to the ignition coil, to see if the problem follows. Usual suspects are the ignition coil or PP. Extremely rare causes include a weak trigger magnet in the flywheel or a timer base.

you have 2 leads coming from the power pack, to the coil. swap them on the coil, and see if the top sparks. if so then suspect the power pack. of course remove plug wire from plug when doing this. use a spark tester.

ok i havent tried that, but i know it still wont work. from the wire coming out of the power pack on that cyl. there is nothing coming out of the wire. i can hold the terminal directly in my hand with no shock. as i said the power pack is brand new, resistance is good on it, i tested it out of the box, even though its brand spankin new im always skeptical. I'm thinkin it may be in the trigger coil, but if im sparkin on other cylinders... idk, but i do know it is definately not the coil/ignition pack, or the power pack. how do i go about testing the trigger coil. my power pack has a 5 prong, and a 3 prong coming out.
