First time posting. I have a 93 fourwinns H190 with the OMC 5.0 Cobra EFI. I'm changing out the original spark plugs (Motorcraft AWSF 32C) with NGK BPR6EFS. Now that I recieved the new plugs, I'm second guessing that these are correct. Can anyone confirm? The NGK has a very narrow GAP and more of the housing below the taper is threaded. And I'm not positive but it also looks shorter below the taper as well

That's what they cross to according to sparkplug cross reference website

Just to be safe I would bring one of your pistons all way up and put a wooden dowel in the hole to measure how much room is in between the piston and top of threads and go from there

Thank you Mark, that is what I read also, However,

Scott, what would be the correct plug for the Ford motor?

Well, wait a minute. Is someone messing with me? The original plug was the Motorcraft AWSF 32C. Cross reference is the BPR6EFS. I don't think the cross reference takes into account manufacture, just the original plug.

May be a typo in the cross-reference. But the BPR6EFS is for vortex heads on an SBC. It's equivalent to the Delco AC-MR43LTS.

Looks like the Ford x-ref is a BPR6FS (no E)

Scott, I've been cross referencing what you said and I just couldn't make it connect. From the NGK website, BPR6EFS is the replacement for AWSF32C. And I found two other topics in these forums where the BPR6EFS is a good plug. It wasn't until I checked the plate on the motor where I found the plug should have been a Motorcraft ASF-32C and that plug does match your statement of BPR6FS. I can only guess that someone at some time replaced the original plugs with the different part number. I've put 300 hours on this boat without changing the plugs so I never thought to check to make sure they were the correct ones to begin with. Thank you very much!

every other website has the BPR6EFS for an SBC. my guess, the NGK website has a typo

Picked up the BPR6FS plugs today. Comparing the plug that was in the boat along with the replacement plug. Kind of surprised that the plug that cross matches the NGK BPR6FS is considerably longer. Also looks like I will need to re-gap the plugs to match the information plate on the side of the motor

Actually I found some New Old Stock of ASF-32C online and orderd them. When I get them, I'll compare and post back. I think your still right about the BPR6FS. Its the plug that I pulled from the boat that seems to be wrong and is causing me to second guess everything.
