93 Rude 70HP - VE70TLETS - Weak spark

Alright.. Seems that I have weak spark across the board.. I keep reading that the spark should be like Lightning! And the spark that I am seeing is like a 12volt gag gift shocker... Engine starts up and runs, But sounds a little rough.. Stays idling for about 5 minutes.. 10 tops, then will cut out.

Cylinder firing as follows :

1) No Change when plug removed (weak spark)
2) Engine stalls when plug removed (better spark)
3) RPM's drop when plug removed (weak spark)

#3 seems to be the only cylinder working properly.

Am I looking at a power (pack) issue here?

Not familiar with your motor but can you move the coils around to see if the weak/strong spark follows i.e. switch the #1 and #2 coils to see if #1 has the better spark and #2 becomes weak?

I have 3 brand new coils on.. Replaced one 3 months ago, 2 on this past Saturday. I'm wondering if my problem lies in the Power Pack or Stator?.. w/out a DVA meter.. can I check for continuity? Would that work?

Why would the engine stall when #2 plug is removed? Sounds like that is the only cylinder that is actually firing., But a drop in RPM when #3 is removed??

Stator and ignition module get pricy quick!

The Cost of a DVA meter or a DVA Adaptor to an existing meter pays for itself in savings.

There is no return on electrical parts, you want to buy only what you really do need.

Yes.. that is why I am asking questions hoping for the right answer so I can get my boat running right.. so far I'm asking and not receiving.

What should my IDLE Speed be? It is at 1200.. anything under barely stays running.
