My 93 sport jet (inboard 90hp) gets no fire to the plugs.

I've just put it back together (had to replace bearings in jet drive unit) and I'm hoping maybe I got a wire crossed. I marked them but unfortunately my greasy hands diluted some of the markings.

Any chance you may be able to provide me with a wiring diagram so I can double check?

Also, there is one small diameter short wire that comes off the solenoid that I'm not sure about (3" long black wire with round end to fit over a post/ bolt). I have it grounded, but it may jump to the other small post on the solenoid (I didn't have it marked).

Actually, for engine problems, the best place to post your question would be the Force Outboard forum.
The Sprortjet models are nothing more than a Force outboard powerhead stuck on top of a jet pump inside a boat.

The short black wire should be grounded. The other main wire that you need to be concerned with is the black wire with a yellow stripe. That's the kill wire. If it grounds, it kills the spark. Basic wiring shoud be the same as for any 3 cylinder Merc, Mariner or Force with ADI ignition. Your public library probably has manuals for at least one of those.

With that being said I'm 99% confident in the wiring now, do you have/ know a link for repair manuals? I'll purchase one to keep in my pocket! 8)
