I have a 93 Suzuki 140 that runs well. When going at very slow speed I noticed seems to shake a bit
more than I think it should,so I did a compression test. The results were as follows.
#1-149#
#2-135#
#3-146#
#4-136#
As you could see, im very close to the minimum 15#
difference between cylinders. Does anyone know the normal compression for this engine?
It runs great at higher speeds but could this be the reason for the little (kick) at idle speed?
It idles well under no load (not in gear).
Thanks

kenh,

I think you are OK. I would do a decarb. and check again.

If you are not sure of the decarb. procedure, use "decarb." as your search word on this forum.

The Suzuki 140 I owned also had real sensitive carbs. It would plug the jets.
