'94 115 omc quickstart disable ?

I've got her all together aside from installing an inline sand filter. Can't seem to find a white/black wire on my power pack to ground out to disable quickstart and set timing.

You don't have Quikstart.

Did you find the water strainer kit?

That is good news, I have been puzzled by that for a while. I got a perko setup from Jamestown dist. Went with the 3/4 intake cause it was a bit larger but too big. Just reduced to 1/2 barb at the strainer head. I have a turbojet so I had room on the port side of the engine compartment near the rear. With all the pebbles I found in the thermostats and waterchannels I felt it to be a necessary addition to a jet boat.

They did not show it in the early TurboJet parts catalogsbut it does show on the later ones like 1997. It's a pretty good kit (part no 437598), but I'll bet the Perko one did not cost $140.00.

The Strainer kit is not in the 1994 parts catalog but it is in the 1995, 1996 and 1997 catalogs. Go to the BRP Parts Catalog Site: http://12.2.215.22/pub/default.asp?SessionId=ac3165f83753416d8c2b5ba94c99ddf2&Lang=EN&brands=EJ

Go to the "Search" window and select "Advanced" in the pick list.

Enter only "0437598" in the part number line.

All of the applications will appear when you select "show where used".

Selecting one of the applications will take you to the diagram.

There are manufacturers that sell that style of strainer for <50 bucks. Not sure if it is made of brass or not. The one I bought was way stout, cast brass with basket cleanout on top. Probably overkill for 20psi but I heard a story about one that came apart and how much water the boat took on, didn't wanna go there.
