94 dynasty storm hard crank

Hello, New here and to boats pretty much.....I was hoping for some help. got this 94 Dynasty Storm 90hp jet yesterday...was told that she runs good and I could just go to the water, but when I got her home I charged batery and just tried to crank it over to see if she spun, Spun over good for about 15-20 seconds (didnt start) then it acted like an old v-8 outta time while cranking (no start) I let her sit for a few and tried it again and after 10 seconds of cranking it fired up>>> I immediatly shut it down and figured on backing in the local boat ramp to test it out the next day. This morning I hooked trailer and was ready to go so I figured Id hit the key and make sure she had juice...well theres the old outta time v8 again?? I pulled plugs and she spins pretty free. put plugs back in and still cranks hard. Im guessing maybe the jet is holding it back? maybe a bearing siezed? any help is greatly appreciated thx, Keith

I'd check to make sure the battery is good shape first, then check all connections to make sure they're tight and clean.

​The jet will put a slight load on the motor, but not make it hard for the starter to spin it.

Welcome aboard.

How are you starting the motor, Keith? Squeezing the primer bulb, choking while cranking and using the warm up/neutral only for a fast idle until the motor is warm?

How old is the gas?

hey guys thanks for the response, couldn't get back to you yesterday cause I got her goin and spent the rest of the day on the water......I went over all connections and found a few wires that needed replaced and swapped out the solenoid and now its good to go!! thx again
