94 Evinrude 225

Engine coughs and sometimes dies when I throttle up from idle. I am going to clean and install new carb kit. I was also thinking about installing new boyseen reeds while im at it. Does anybody have any experiance with boyseen reeds.

Great reeds. Smoother acceleration and will really help when trying to crack the 7500 RPM barrier. <br /><br />Make sure you cure the "cough" or "sneeze". That is about the only thing that will hurt them. It can possibly burn them with one "cough" or "sneeze".<br /><br />Good luck!
