94 fling removing gas from tank

hey everyone, first off im new to this forum and boating all together. just bought a 94 fling turbojet omc 115. the previous owner had put premix gas in the tank and it has the auto dripper. i need to empty roughly 10 gal of gas out. does anyone know if there is a plug or anything. ive been working on this project all day trying to siphon and prime the gas out.

well, i finally got all the gas out and replaced with 93 octane, replaced plugs to the correct ones and changed the fuel filter, but now when i attempt to start the boat it starts fine but quickly dies after about 5-10 seconds..i cant get it to the lake until tmrw night so looking for any suggestions?

Well first off we need to know what kind of motor hp year and model#.

This helps.

Now did the previous owner put mixed fuel in by mistake or on purpose.

its the 94 fling omc 115 hp turo jet. it is a 2 cycle, 4 cylinder.. the previous owner did it on accident. long story. he also had the wrong plugs. the ones he had in it did not cross reference to the factory plugs at all.

update... took it out today and started right up and ran nice at idle and slow speeds.. got it to run full throttle for about 20 minutes and then in the middle of going hard the engine bogged down.. played around for a while with it and it continued to run nice until you try to full throttle.. someone suggested the thermostat and/or water pump?? any suggestions>

Sounds to me like you have a gunked up fuel system. An electrical problem still could be present but the following recomendation couldn't hurt. If it were my motor I'd first inspect the fuel lines coming from the fuel pump. Are they new or do they look cracked and old. Old fuel lines can deteriorate depositing particles in the carbs. Especially at the barbed t's near the carbs. Pretty cheap stuff to replace by yourself, make sure it is alcohol resistant. They sell decent replacement hose at most boat dealers.
You might try just removing the high speed jets and checking for a blockage there before doing a complete carb cleaning, recommended. Check the FAQ for some great tips.
Fuel pump, eh, maybe but it runs fo a while so it is doubtful.
Could be the pickup screen in the gas tank itself but you probably looked at that when siphoning out the old gas.

Thermostats are important indeed but won't cause it to bog at wot.

Turbojets don't have waterpumps.
