Poor spark. Black oil dripping from Motor. Motor will not start.

The problem was low voltage from the stator. Replaced stator with CDI replacement, works like a champ. Decarbed the motor with B-12 from Napa. That took care of the black stuff dripping from the prop area.

Note: make sure you get the part number off the stator for a replacement. The motor Serial Number might not tell you what stator you have. Mine turned out to be a Merc.

May the Force be with you! :)
Ronn

I personally think Forces are good motors, if they are cared for. Keep 'er decarbed and have a blast!

$1000 to take a look at it?
Sounds like he is trying to get rid of you.
Will it run?
how long did you run it after overheat?
Did alarm go off?
Did you run it till it seized?
1- find a new mechanic
2- verify if waterpump is or is not working
3 verify that water is circulating thru engine
4- check for proper function or replace thermostat
