I have a 1994 Johnson 115 V4 outboard on my Proline and keep having issues with an alarm going off. It is a constant alarm, which according to my alarm list, is either an overheating issue or a fuel issue. My motor was initially overheating, so I replaced the thermostats, sensor that is on the block itself, and also my water pump. That solved my overheating issue. But I still have a constant alarm that goes off so I presume that it has something to do with the fuel. But with that in mind, I can be up on plane, with the throttle at 75% and the motor is running smoothly, not overheating, and not starving for fuel. After 5 mins or so, the constant alarm goes off.

Please help. Anyone's input would be greatly appreciated.

You might want to pursue the overheating question a little more. With the engine up to normal operating temp, on the water muffs, you should be able keep your finger on each cylinder bank for a count of three. Or, If you have an IR Temperature gun, the head temps should be around 140-150 degrees.

What color are your spark plugs? Light tan may mean a lean condition.

You may want to get an infared temp gun and verify what both cylinder head temps are. You could have some bad water delectors.
