94 Johnson 90 hp cross flow no Spark :Stator Issue?

Hey all. I have a 90 hp johnson that is getting no spark at all from what I can tell. I have checked the timing base and the power pack came off another motor. What else or how else can I test for spark issues. What all controls it?
Its a 94 Johnson 90 hp Cross Flow. Would the alarm going off cause it not to have spark, or the alarm disconnected?

update: I started measuring the out put of the stator. I get top 80v on AC setting. According to the clymors book It should have 150 or more, I have two stators, the other is off a simialr motor 115 not 90 same year, and they both read around the same. The one that I get 80 v has a resistance of about 420 ohms. Would this cause me not to have spark, could something else be the problem that would cause both to appear bad? The issue is I have talked to a couple guys and no one has replaced one before unles they broke it or had the motor rebuilt ect.
The timing base reads 40 ohms acrossed all, should be between 30-50.

So the question is than, would the stator cause it not to have spark, is there something else I should check first, and is there a way to clean it up maybe to get it to work properly?

wHAT WAS THE ALARM?

I would buy the factory manual, get a peak reading meter off ebay and do the tests, clymer isn't too usefull.

Not sure which alarm was going off, found the alarm the previous owner had unhooked and it just went off with one sound. Has three wires going to it. Figure its because it has no oil set up and you just mix it.
