Was on the river this past weekend, stopped for a few minutes and after i refired the engine the thing squeals when it idles and when your trolling. It still runs fine and pulls good. Still pissing water like it should. To me it sounds like a bearing. Almost like when a alternator goes out on a car. The squeal isn't ear piercing but it's enough to grab your attention. Ran it the rest of the day and didn't have any problems. Anyone ever had the same problem. Oh, also it won't squeal when it's cold. If you run it for a couple minutes and it gets warm, then it starts to squeal. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Nobody has any suggestions? Could it be something stuck in the water pump?

Use a mechanic's stethoscope and listen to it, try to pin down the area or source of the noise.

A bearing squeal could rapidly develop into an expensive problem.

Wouldn't hurt to add a wee bit of oil to your fuel in addition to the oil injection system. At least until you get this potential problem sorted out.

It's hard to pin it down to an exact location. Anyone else have any ideas?
