I have a 1994 fuel injected 200hp mariner. Bought it last may and had a problem what I thought was the computer cutting off the gas/spark. The engine idles perfect runs smooth, but has a miss after 3000 rpms Almost like the computer is shutting down.
After screwing with everything I could think of (spark plugs, impeller, water in the gas, gas tank, block sensors, compression, thermostats) the problem seemed to fix itself. Motor ran great for about 60 hours, but the exact same problem has returned.
Any suggestions or should I take it to the shop?
