It looks like I set the linkage up correctly, but I must have done something wrong. When you look at the pic, the cable does not line up with the idle position of the throttle.

Got a suggestion on what I did wrong?

Need more information.
New to you?
got the service book?
is this a new install?
have you identified the cables?
Got them switched around?
Do you know how to identify the cables?

My boat, has not been in the water a while and I had to pt on a new transom.

I have not switched the cables either, I checked that sveral times.

I have a manual that appplies to several models, but I don't see where cables are metioned (really bad index)

Do these cables stretch over time?

I am considering switching the choke and throttle cable at the remote control, maybe the choke can get away with less tension???

I was looking at the cables tonight and I noticed that the throttle cable plain looks stretched. You can see lot more brass in the throttle than the choke.

Is there a quick fix for this? I can't get a cable that fast, I have to get parts shipped to me, I sure would like to get the kids in the boat again before they go back to school.
