'95 110hp johnson Tilt/Trim unit fit a '96 48hp johnson

Hello Guys. I have a 1996 48hp Johnson which came with a, what I call, help cylinder. It went bad so I removed it. I'd like to put a Tilt/Trim unit on it. I have access to a unit off of a 1995 110hp Johnson. Will this fit or can I make it fit?

OK Guys, Now I have a chance at a '95 50hp tilt/trim. Will this fit my '96 48hp? I'm trying not to spend $600 to $800 on an aftermarket! If this won't fit, does anyone have an idea?

I'm looking at the parts diagrams at shop2.evinrude.com and the tilt/trim units for those 2 engines look totally different.

Spend some time there doing your research, look for engines with the same part number tilt/trim unit, or at least the same stern bracket.
