'95 150 Black Max oil Injection

My black max oil injection was disabled but not removed by the previous owner. The motor now runs on Premix. Anyhow, is there any problem with leaving the pump on the block as it is now, I don't seem to be sucking any air, or do I need to buy the cover plug kit and remove the now in-op pump while running premix?

Mine was like that for a while also... I didn't notice any problems with it on, as the gear on the pump was removed, thus not sucking any air.<br /><br />But I went ahead and purchased the cover/plug for it last season... Didn't cost much!
