95 150 hp rough idle with carbon discharge

Hi guys,my 95 150 Ocean Pro was running fine when I idled her on muffs in the driveway this spring.The 2nd time I ran her on muffs she was struggling to keep running,stalled a few times and idle was low.Put fresh fuel,changed h20 seperator and still runs at low idle.Plugs looked normal.There is a black mucky discharge dripping from the exhaust as if I was doing a decarb.Carbs were redone 2 years ago.Any suggestions???

Go to the auto part store and buy a $12 adjustable spark gap tester, set the gap to 3/8th inch and do a spark test.
Get the service manual too.

And a compression guage, do a compression test at the same time.
Then we'll know where the problem is.
