Ok folks, the new thermostats, 97' blow off valve, VRO pump, filter, QL78YC plugs, fresh 97 octane, have made the boat run great.
But, just off of an idle, like 1/16 throttle, it's not right. Sounds like it goes from running on all 6 at idle to running on 4. As soon as I throttle up just a hair, it goes from night to day, like the ignition timing is advancing suddenly. Then it runs perfectly all the way up to WOT.

The idle is a little low, about 500-550 rpm.
All of the plugs look the same. All white with one side, about 1/4 of the diameter of the porcelin, is black. No signs of pre-ignition, aluminum deposits, or glue pulling up from between the electrode and the porcelin. Top of pistons look fine, a little dark maybe.

Should I adjust the idle timing a little by turning the screw counter-clockwise, or am I running too lean down low, and how do I fix that?

Thanks.

(After this post I should be good to go!)
