Well folks . Looking for some help on this one . I have a 1995 Mercury 225 3.0 on a 24' Stamas WA . It starts right up and runs awesome . After about 15 minutes of running it will SOMETIMES kill number 6 cylinder . I have changed the plugs and am getting ready to swap the coil pack . Could that be my problem ? Or is it he dreaded ECU ?

Thanks in Advance

Re: 95 225 dropping cylinder

Well, I swapped the coil pack and the problem persists . Is there any way this could be the ECU . If so how can I test it ? Also I have been noticing the temp rarely exceeds 130 degrees . I could see that this could possibly lead to carbon buildup due to incomplete burning . I just dont see how dropping a cylinder intermitantly could be compression or fuel . Any ideas please ???
