been having problems at wot, seems to jump out of gear, but when I throttle down it seems to get back in gear, thought it was the prop slipping , so changed the prop, works fine at idol or half throttle, think maybe a spring or bushing bad?

Sounds like it could be a clutch dog and/or forward gear gone bad. I would do a forum search. They're lots of threads on this topic.
First, check your shift linkage. Good luck.

Manual shift, or remote control? If remote, disconnect cable and try manually to rule out cable and control box. Clutch dog and gear problems are usually intermittent, it jumps out of gear and then back. On my outboard, it started as a jump every now and then and quickly became very frequent. Feels sort of hitting an underwater log, but it did not depend on throttle setting.

This could be a prop hub problem, or prop aeration. The first could be tricky to diagnose without trying a known good prop. Aeration is because of engine installed too high. As the wake starts to clear the transom, the propeller gets air and over-revs. Tell-tale signs should be very visible in the prop wash if that's the case.
