If I turn the key to the on position my temp alarm beeps, then shuts off like it's ready to start. However, if I bump the wires under the dash, it goes to a constant beep signaling that my temp swith has an issue. This happens with the engine cold and my oil pump is disconnected (using premix) so I know it's not that alarm. Am I looking at a short, a bad ground, bad temp switch or what? Any clues. It seems to me that if the temp switch is bad, I should get a constant signal and not just a test tone.
