I'm looking into buying a 95 750 ZXI that the owner states the battery coming loose while underway and shorting out the wiring. He says that he knows nothing about how to fix it or what to look for. I can get this at a steal if I can get someone that knows the Kawasaki ZXI's which I don't.

My guess is the fuse(s) would have immediately popped (I'm thinking on Yamaha or Seadoo line of things) to protect the rest of the wiring and circuitry. Would this be a likely conclusion? Or could this have damaged more expensive electrical components?

Thanks for any help...

most likely it just took out the main fuse. but when it comes to electrical any thing is possible. current has a bad habit of doing funny things.

If memory serves me,there is a small fuse in the electrical box that will blow if battery cables are reversed or a direct short such + post finding ground due to loose battery.
