Just recently bought this motor. Going through it the other day and noticed two blue wires coming from under the oil reservoir. Not sure where they need to go as it seems previous owner cut them. Any help is appreciated. I attached a photo below!
That's the wires to the low oil alarm. The magnet usually falls off the float causing alarm and looks like PO cut em as they didn't want to replace oil tank...
If those wires are just for the alarm I should be good. I keep a close eye on it. However if it is working correctly and I premix the oil 50:1 it wouldn’t hurt anything correct? Or cause poor running
