i have noticed that when looking at boats with v-drives, some of them have the heat exchanger for the closed cooling mounted at the back of the engine. my boat (95 Formula 34pc w 8.2L Bluewater inboards and Hurth v-drives) has the heat exchangers located at the front of the engine. this makes access to them for checking/adding coolant difficult. i wonder if it would be feasible to relocate the exchanger to the back of the motor?? any thoughts or suggestions?

No way to do it inexpensively, Merc made systems for your model, probably not available anymore, but you would need all new hoses, brackets, outlets on the heat exchanger, and who knows what else.
