I have a 96 merc.95xr sport jet.Parts recently replaced-fly wheel,stator,trigger,voltage regulator,rev limiter,auto enrichner,plugs,fuel pump completly rebuilt,new floats,inlet needles,idle mixture screws,all new fuel lines,turn key switch.The boat at idle seems to be loading up with fuel bad.When bringing it up off idle the motor is very very sluggish like it needs to burn off the extra fuel to get going.I was running it last week and i had it a wot at 5000 rpms and the motor just shut off never had that happen before.So I stopped at a local mechanic he looked for propper ground seemed to be fine.He then tested the auto enrichner,book calls for 18 to 22 ohms tested at 26 ohms I replaced it no change.The enrichner is feed by carb bowl #2 so I put a shut off on the fuel line to the enrichner.I open it to start it then shut the fuel off when it started,it seemed to help a little as far as a better throttle response.The shutting off at WOT is still a problem.Im thinking if I fix the shutting off I will fix the enrichner problem.Timing and mixture screws are set correctly.I could use some help thank you.
