96 120xr sportjet in 16 ft sea rayder BOGS WOT

I just recently got this boat and it seems to bog @wot. back off it a little and it actually picks up a couple 100 rpms i've played with timing , plugs , cleaned the mains , leaned it out as much as i dare @ the pump, all to no avail. I'm turning about 5000 rpms now and it sure would be nice to get another 500 are there any quik ways to tweek this thing out? are there lower pitch impellers available for these things? where if so. i've always had proped i/o's and been able to push the envelope rpm wise by running good syn. oil (AMSOIL) mains are 92 bottom 90 top does this sound right? . <br /> any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If Rpm's seem to decrease...its possible that the throttle plates are past horizontal and are starting to close again.<br /><br />TMD

checked that, did find them off a little and not quite in sync, result after that seemed to be smoother, but still a bog.

NOPE NOT THE REV LIMITER EITHER, TOOK IT OUT TODAY AND RAN IT FULL THROTTLE FOR 20 MIN . OR SO . THEN ,CHECKED THE PLUGS THEY WERE REAL LIGHT BROWN NOT WHITE BUT THEY JUST LOOKED LIKE THEY COULD USE MORE FUEL . SO I'M WONDERING COULD MORE FUEL TAKE THAT SLIGHT W.O.T. BOG AWAY ? I'M THINKING ABOUT BIGGER MAINS, IT HAS TILLOTSON CARBS . WHERE WOULD A GUY ORDER MAIN JETS FROM ?I DON'T THINK BOAT U.S. OR WEST MARINE CARRY THEM. ARE THESE CARBS JUNK ? OR IS IT JUST ME.
