96' 150hp Evinrude Intruder..any good?

Hey guys, I posted an question earlier this week about repowering my boat. A potential canidate is a 96' 150 hp Evinrude intruder. Strickly fresh water use for $2000. Can you all tell me if this was good motor. I'm going this afternoon to take a look at it.

I checked out the motor today, looks pretty nice. I spoke with the owner, he says he thought it was a 97'


I wrote down the number off of the welch plug: G4199671
Can someone decode this for me please?

I ask how many hours were on the motor, he said around 460, is this alot on a motor like this?
