When I originally got this boat & set up the trim indicator worked, now it doesn't what is the logical sequence of trouble shooting this? I bought the OEM manual but it doesn't have any info on the digital gages can any one help, Ray or Rodbolt, please? All other indications appear to be working, best I can tell. I can't really see the dip switches mentioned in other posts, unless they are under a flush rubber boot which I haven't yet peeled off!

hello
look in the section for testing the trim sender. the sender has a tendancy to stick. tilt the motor full up and see if the plastic arm moves. if it does not dont force it. start spraying it with penetrating oil. let it sit a while and try to work it loose. that is where I would start.

My brother has a simmalar problem with a 2002 200sx. What should the resistance be on a new trim sensor? It does not read as stated in the OEM service manual.

Thanks.

Thanks, Rodbolt you were correct again!! The lever was stuck in the down position, probably salt crust. I didn't realize it was a spring loaded jobby, but I did as tou said, sprayed it first then worked it lightly & then I ran a toothbrush sized wire brush through the area for any possible residuals. She works just like new, thanks again.
