Does anybody know, if the carbs of a '96 200 hp Johnson could be easily replaced with the carbs of a 93' 225?

Thx

We'll assume you're talking about the carb assembly (carbs and throttle body assembly), not just the carb body. Yes, no problem at all. Just be sure to use the air silencer base and cover from the 93. The "thumbscrew" airbox stays with the 96 carbs, the base & cover airbox stays with the 93 carbs.

Just curious, why do you want to do this?

It seems there might be some wrong with the carbs; the motor doesn't run right. It seems the current carbs might be dirty and I may clean and rebuild. I have found somebody here with carbs of a '93 225. He told me that the 200 and the 225 are almost identical, except for a few items, but ensured that I could mount the 225 carbs right on...
Thanks for your quick reply!

Just my opinion but I'd stick with the 96 carbs & airbox if it were me. In fact I'll trade you your 96 carbs & box for my 1990 200 carbs & box. I'd be more than happy to clean them. I think they're better anyway.
