Newbee here pulling my drive and replacing seawater pump impeller this weekend. I planned on pulling the whole drive off, looking at the gimble, lubing shaft, etc, then pulling the lower off the upper "on the bench". I'm looking for good ideas on a drive stand to make the job easier. I've thought about modifing a movers dolly so its a stand on wheels, or just attaching a few 2x6s to my work bench to hold it off the ground. I'd rather not re-invent the wheel, so I'd be interested to see what kind of drive stands people have fashioned...thanks.
