'96 4.3gl wont stay running

I have 1996 volvo penta 4.3gl took it out ran fine, stopped for lunch 1hr later would not start. Turned over an ran for a second or two then stopped. had to get sea tow. This kept happening. run for a second or two then die. Same thing at home ran a second or two and die. Checked safety line seems to be tight, fuel filter looked good but changed anyway. 3/4 tank of gas. Volts going to fuel pump. Changed fuel pump to new volvo. Started up and ran ruff. Installed new cap and rotor(looks like it needed them) started up and ran better. Thought I had it licked but..... when it got hot, it stopped again. Same original problem. Starts up and quits. Coil?

Exactly, what is the full model number of your engine. 4.3GL___- fill in the blanks.

Not quit sure. It's a 1996 four winds sundowner 19' with 4.3gl sx cobra i/o. None of my paper work seems to address this. It is a two brl carb. I'll try to look further.
