I have a 1996 merc 60hp. Issue started saturday after fishing a few hours in light drizzle the night before. When i turn the ignition key to the run position (not starting it yet) the alarm goes off with a constant crackling alarm sound. Normally i would get the single beep that it was all ok.
I think i have a short somewhere. Any other ideas?
