I have a 1996 60hp Evinrude E60TLEDR.

Just recently purchased the boat and motor.

I had to replace the Power Pack as the Cold Start was staying advanced and racing the motor. Once I replaced the power pack the motor ran at idle as it should have. Now I have 2 more problems that have showed up. I have provided a list of items that I have replaced on the engine since I have purchased the boat.

Power Pack OEM Part #0585189 Replaced with 5004533
3 New Spark Plugs L77JC4
New fuel Lines and Filter
New Gasket for Air Silencer
New Bowl Seal for Carb #2
New Coil Wires

1. The engine will idle for about 10 to 15 mins then slowly die off as it has run out of gas. I have replaced all fuel lines from the tank to the carbs. The fuel filter remains full of fuel when it dies.

2. I have checked for air leaks around the carbs and my #2 carb is leaking air around the bowl. I pulled and replaced the bowl seal and it still leaks in air.

Anyone have any suggestions

Its new to you so its safer to go through all the maintenance items.
I would rebuild all the carbs with new carb kits.
Drain gear oil, check for milky oil, use new seals on drain screws.
Smart move on the fuel lines.!

On the leaky carb, its usually the plastic bowls , if they are tightened too much they will distort, check by putting it on a sheet of glass, they can be dressed by doing figure 8's on fine grit wet and dry paper.
Tighten the screws evenly and in stages to keep the bowl from bending, you want to draw it against the seal evenly.

Read the FAQ's for carb rebuilding directions, run wire thru jets for sure.

Top secret sticky FAQ's.
