96 88 special

Hello, This is my first post and I really could use some help. I have a 1996 88 Special and it is sick. Last week while out it just all the sudden would'nt run over 4000 rpm's. Pulled it out and order new plugs and wires, changed them out went out today and same thing happens. 4200 rpm trimmed out is max where I was getting 5200-5300, Thanks for any help.

check your compression and spark on all 4 cylinders. also could be clogging high speed jets. it the timing plate moving freely, and the carb butterflies opening all the way to horizonal?
