96 cobalt 232

I'm looking to buy a used boat and posted earlier about an 07 Monterey 214fs. I got some great feedback.
Now, I ran across a 96 cobalt 232 - a bit larger and I have always liked the look and quality of a cobalt. With that said, I'm not sure the hours, but it is in great shape. They're asking 19,995. After looking at nada, this seems out of line. Thoughts? Or even comparing the two boats?

My thoughts............ get a survey of what you want. Better to have piece of mind and avoid and huge repairs.

For that age it seems high to me. Do some google searches for comparison prices (both Cobalt and simialr brands) and use that in your negotiation. On an older boat like that you will need to carefully check the normal repairs for age to adjust your total cost. There are allot of factors to consider though. Has it been stored inside the whole time, much different older boat than one that is stored in the water or exposed to the elements.
