96 evinrude 115 harness wiring

Thanks for all the help...everything is still running great and I've been boating every weekend. I bought a fish finder, gps, and have lights for gauges and running lights. I wired my fuse board from an unused purple power and black negative wire. Is this OK? I was concerned that wires I used, from the unused conventional tack, may not be heavy enough to support all the items I run of the board. Does this need dedicated wires or is this OK. Thanks again for anytime in helping.

No it is not OK. nothing should be attached to the wiring harness, except motor related items. run a separate POS & NEG wires directly from your battery to your fuse panel.
