I own a 1996 johnson 150 fast strike and today on the lake I was going from one fishing hole to another and as soon as I hit top speed I notice that <br />I was slowly losing power and speed then motor shut right off, so i attempted to restart and nothing but a click like dead battery, so i waited a minute then tried again it turned over but sounded like a half dead chevy, so I choked it and it flooded so I lifted the idle lever to get it more air and it started but didnt idle very well and it sounds like its running on one cyl. so i idled around for a while and it seemed like it wanted to die. I also notice that my tack was spiking about 1000 rpm higher thenit would go back to normal and so on. I know my battery is fine and that it is cooling fine it is pissing a very strong stream. I check my oil and can see oil in the clear tube. It seems to be doing fine plugs are a dark brown. my s.l.o.w. warning system also stopped churping when I turn the key. maybe a new bermuda triagle story. thanks
