96 johnson 115 lower unit

i changed mine about 8 months ago,took a short cut and didn't change the gasket. last weekend changed it again about a half a cup of water came out. this time i'm going to change the magnetic plugs and the gasket (seal) vent and drain. 96 johnson 115 i guess i can buy them from a marina shop or a dealer<br />you get good help here<br />thanks

try to find the older plugs that had a slot. the new style with the hex is a pain. also the drive shaft seals on the two piece shaft are problematic. need to test them very carefully. seems they use the impeller to guid the shaft.<br />25" motors are more prone to drive shaft seal leaks than 20" but both do it.

this could be a dumb question, i noticed the drain and vent have a different part number. could i have mixed them up.<br /><br /><br />try your friendly NAPA store. ask for part# 18-2378 drain and 18-2387 vent. I dont know if they come with gaskets or not.
