My first replacement of the impeller went so well that I began to worry about getting it right.
I dropped the lower unit into 1/2 barrel and fired her up. The pressure at the telltale was twice as strong as the last time I used it. I shut the unit off before it had time to open the thermostat. It appeared to have had pressurized water coming out of the case. What happens to the water that flows through the thermostat before it opens. Is there some sort of pressure relief valve or did I botch the installation of the lower unit. Thanks in advance for the input
