I was out fishing yesterday, upon pulling back on throttle.. the engine stopped running.

Luckily I had two batteries for my electric trolling which brought me back.

Got boat/motor home and began testing...

Appears that power is making it into the Switch unit/power box ... but not out to the coils....

Question.... Is there a sure way of determining if the power/switch box unit is bad?

safety switch activated? Motor generates it's own voltage to run. Electric start? Remote controls?

I have determined that its my stator ... I measure resistance on the low and high outputs on stator.... I have no reading at all btwn the red and red-white leads.

Now the question I have is;

Is the main bolt on the flywheel regular or reverse thread?
