I recently purchased a 96 Bayliner 2050ss, but it seem to have some sort of flooding issue. Some times when switching from drive to reverse i have to rev up the engine quite a bit before it ingages. It is missing the shift interupter which im aware off and im sure thats what causing it,(i got one on the way) but would something like that cause the engine to flood?? and possible small gas leak from carb?

No that shouldn't make your carb leak.Sounds like it's rebuild time. You probably need a shift cable along with the shift interupt. The interupt work when you are taking it out of gear. Jerry
