Kinda what the title says.96 merc 115 4cyl 2stroke.ols stator was bad so I installed a new 1 from cdi.the engine starts right up and runs good up to 3200rpm.then it starts misfiring and won't stop till rpms are back down below 3200.to rule out the switch box I swapped it with a known working one.i unplugged the yellow wires from the rectifier and no change.the boat ran great before the stator went bad so I don't think it's anything to do with the coils.im thinking about rotating the stator a bolt hole to see what happens as it kinda seems like a timing issue to me. Any ideas?
