long story short, finishing up complete rebuild of my 96 lund tyee with a 4.3 LX.
my fuel pump is not working. i checked for power to the purple wire at the oil pressure switch. no power. i also have two purple wires under the dash that i marked with numbers on both sides of where i had to cut them during the tear down. however i can’t find the corresponding numbers over a year later. these are the only two wires i can’t figure out where they go. one comes from key switch, and has 12v KO power. the other does not, and goes into harness that runs to back of boat. of course if i put power to this wire, the fuel pump will run with the oil switch jumped. does anyone know where this wire is supposed to get power from? i’d like to put it back in factory location, but for now will just run it from ignition switch. haven’t found anything else not working yet, so no idea where the other purple wire goes.
the two wires do NOT go to each other, as i have examined the cuts closely, and they do not match!!! although that would make the pump work. just want it correct.
engine serial number is 0F294871
thx for any help.
