I am new to the boating world and I am winterizing for the first time. I got most of it however I need some questions answered. The engine is a 5.7 mercruiser with alpha one gen II outdrive.

1. Can anyone tell me the proper belt numbers for engine serial number OF-787716? I got to parts stores and they tell me to use a serpentine belt but it is two v-belts (power steering and alternator I guess).

2. I am pretty sure there are five drains for raw water system, I found the two on each side. Where is the fifth?

3. Can anyone tell me the right oil to use for the lower unit and the engine and the amount I will need?

4. How difficult is it to change out the trim tabs? (I cannot raise the lower unit without using the trailer button, I assume it is those two trim tabs on the lower unit messing up.)

5. Which hoses do I pour the antifreeze into besides the front four on a raw water cooling system?

6. What is the best grease to use for lower unit cylinders and when greasing the grease serts and everything else?

That's all for now. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have now entered the wonderful world of boating if you can't tell, I LOVE BOATING oh yea and seeing my wife in a bikini.

Go to the link below, it is the proper parts list for your engine SN and model
PS your model number is 457B100JS.

See intake and front cover and power steering pump for belt numbers.

Here is a link to the OEM manuals you can download. You need #17 and #14

Merc Hi Performance gear lube for the outdrive. Go to the link below for oil and fuel recommendations.

Trim tabs is not your problem, most likely a faulty trim limit switch. See manual #14 troublshooting section to check it out.

6. What is the best grease to use for lower unit cylinders and when greasing the grease serts and everything else?
Again, manual #14 gives you all the different greases and lubes and locations.
