96 Volvo DP-S Duoprop - remove prop?

The inside prop on the outdrive does not wnat to come off. The outside one slide right off--no problem but the inside one won't budge. Is there a special puller or technique that will enable removal?<br /><br />Need it off for two reasons:<br />1) to change lower end oil<br />2) to have stainless prop worked on - bent

is the retainer nut removed ?<br />you may try a commercial prop puller. I usually end up cutting them up to remove them. 5 dollars worth of grease once a month will prevent it.

This is a stainless steel prop. Hate to cut it off $$$$<br /><br />Any other ideas? What do you mean by commercial prop puller?
