Nope, Volvo uses diodes.
BTW, with that SN, it should say OMC on your engine, not Volvo. What is your engines full model number?

Yes that is right it does say Omc cobra. Only #s I find are3868413 and T0361686

Should be a 43XXXXXX number there. after the 43 should be 1 more number (either a 2 or a 4) then some letters. Need to know what those letters are.
Best to call it what it is, an OMC. While Volvo's are similar, at that time frame (96) OMC and Volvo were in a joint venture, and there were some differences in systems.
