97 200Hp Ocean Pro

I'm trying to do a compression test but the starter keeps kicking out on me afer 2-3 revolutions of the motor. I have all the plugs out and the throttle is open. I tried closing the throttle and get the same results. Put all the plugs back in and it cranks and starts lkike normal.

Okay, try pulling the safety lanyard and then pulling one plug at a time and do the compression test. Maybe the starter will stay engaged that way.

Those numbers sound fine. Maybe a little low, but that could be from your particular compression guage.
Why don't you give her a de-carb treatment.
