97 Evinrude 50HP 2 stroke wiring puzzle

Hello to all,
we purchased a pontoon boat that was in storage for 4 years and our nightmares are ON...one of them is the wiring of this motor that visually does not look that bad. It did not have a power pack, so i bought a new one and need help wiring it correctly....Photo #1

In photo #2 i found 3 more wires that i can't identify and figure out where they go, one looks like ground but...not really sure

Any help is appreciated, all marine mechanics are too busy servicing boats with "more serious problems" and they can't/won't deal with me....

Photo # 1 The blue connecters go to the coils. The black is a ground. Where do the wires in photo 2 come from? It looks like they are coming from the starboard side of the engine over top of the carbs near the fly wheel.

in photo #2 wires are coming from underneath the motor, way under, i can't see what is connected to....
Blue connectors....does it matter which one goes on top and bottom of the coil? Sorry, i'm not 100% mech. inclined but am familiar with basics

in photo 2 that looks like the wiring from the vro oil tank

The two wires with the blue connectors should go to your coil. I am not exactly sure which goes to which though. The black wire with the loop connector for your ground should ground out between the coil back and the block of the motor.


I am basing this advice on my 1995 Evinrude 9.9 which has a very similar wiring setup from the looks of it.

OK,
i followed wires from underneath and in photo #3 - 2 wires are being grounded and third wire goes to - check photo #4

As far as the wires going to the coil, the one with the blue tracer goes to the top coil and the other to the bottom one. It may have a green tracer.
