97 fourwinns 200 horizon fuel issue? help!

I just bought a 1997 FourWinns horizon 200. It was not started for 6 1/2 years. I pulled gas tank, changed water/fuel seperater, new plugs, cleaned carb, and put new water pump impeller on it. It will not stay running???? its getting gas, but will only stay running with added help through the carb. Almost like not getting enough gas. Has any one else had this problem? can any one help me trouble shoot?

I have a 1998 220 horizon and same thing happened to me. on mine there are two electric fuel pump one of them was bad. I replaced it and worked fine since

if it is running but with help from the carb it could also be that the carb is not set correctly. You may be running too thin a gas air mixture. Get an aftermarket manual and find what the setting is for the fuel mixture or just turn the gas mixture screw a 1/4 turn each way and see if the engine runs better or worse.

also check the timing to make sure you are set.... that could make the engine run pretty rough if its off by alot.

Since the original post was over a year ago, I'm guessing the problem has been solved by now.
